The full session rate will be charged for any appointments cancelled without 24 hours notice (and must be paid prior to booking another session). This policy allows me to provide sustainable services and ensures that my limited clinical hours are spent with clients.

Insurance

I am a Registered Provider with Medavie Blue Cross. Other private insurance plans may also cover counselling therapy fees. If you plan to use insurance, I recommend checking with your insurance company or human resources department to confirm you have coverage for "Counselling Therapy" provided by a "Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate)" or “Canadian Certified Counsellor.”

At this time, I do not offer direct billing to private insurance providers. I will provide you with a detailed receipt after each session which can be submitted to your provider for reimbursement.

These questions may be helpful to ask your insurance provider or HR department:

  • Do I have coverage for "Counselling Therapy" provided by a "Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate)" or “Canadian Certified Counsellor”?

  • If so, how much coverage do I have towards therapy?

  • Do I have a co-payment amount? (this is a portion of the session fee that’s paid by you, rather than by your insurance provider)

  • Is there a maximum number of sessions per calendar year I can get covered?

  • Do I require written approval from a doctor in order for my therapy to be covered?

If your insurance provider requests the name and credentials of my Supervisor, please share the following:
Eric L. Ross, MEd, RCT, CCC, MTA
Registered Counselling Therapist License #17-004
Canadian Certified Counsellor Certification #7452
Certified Music Therapist (MTA) Certification #0726
